The Long Car Ride

It was the beginning of July and it was burning up outside. I was three years old and my mom’s 4-runner was full. We had bags piled up in the back of the car and me, my sister, and her friend were squished in the back seat. I was sitting in my car seat and apparently I was bored. I kept piling my mouth with bubble gum because it was the first time I had ever had it. My sister and her friend kept talking, laughing, and singing as loud as they could. My mom was busy talking to my dad at the moment and no one was paying attention to me when I would ask them something. I got sick of it not long after screaming their name a million times. I soon got sick of chewing the bubble gum, so I decided to take it out for a minute and let my jaw rest. My sister’s friend was sitting in the middle and I was sitting next to her. I had a temper when I was little, so when I didn’t have everyone’s attention I would find a way to get it. My sister’s friend had pretty, long black hair and I wasn’t a happy camper. I decided to put the whole mouth full of bubble gum in her hair so she would turn around and answer my question. Turns out, she wasn’t too happy after that and neither was anyone else in the car. This story has been shared many times with my family and friends and it can make anyone laugh when they hear it!
